Michael 10th July 2020

I was saddened to hear of Pete's passing: he was a friend and a colleague. I first met him when he was a student of Modelmaking at our Old London Road campus in St.Albans. I remember him as having a lot of technical skills, a good sense of humour, and a detailed knowledge of movies that I had never heard of. He then went off and worked as an architectural modelmaker and I met him next when I interviewed him for a job as a technician at UH. His technical skills and sense of humour were instrumental in getting the job, and I'm sure his knowledge of movies went a long way in establishing a rapport with the students. He was always a pleasure to work with: skilled, willing, the sort of person who said "yes" and "it can be done", instead of "no". That also made him popular; with all of us! Pete was a big part of the Faculty; a face of continuity for returning students, a reliable pair of hands, a really nice guy, and someone we all miss a great deal. Thank you for everything, Pete.
